Reason for Coaching: Coach Linn enjoys giving back to the sport, local community, and CRTC. Wrestling mirrors life and remains an opportunity for coaches to help young athletes become self motivated to reach their goals and become better human beings.
COACH DAN MCQUISTON
Originally a wrestler from Commodore Perry High School, Dan gained invaluable experience wrestling Freestyle and Greco-Roman in Germany for 2 years while on tour in the Army. From 1992-1996 he wrestled at the D1 level for Edinboro University of Pennsylvania under Head Coach and Olympic Champion Bruce Baumgartner.
After his competition days were over, Dan began his coaching career at Commodore Perry. Starting at the elementary level, he coached for several years before moving up to become the HS Assistant Coach for 3 years, and then took over as the Head Coach of the program for 4 years.
During this time, he continued to satisfy his Freestyle and Greco bug coaching at a few local area clubs until settling at Camp Reynolds. With his Copper and Bronze Coaching Certifications he has coached Pennsylvania wrestlers at the highest levels in the international styles. Dan has been in the coaches corner for many state place winners, multiple state champions, national all-Americans and 1 national champion. He has coached for the PA team at Kids National since 2017, was a coach for the PA 14U National Dual Team in 2022 and helped coach the Team PA at the Cadet and Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND in 2021 and 2022.
